EXACTLY one week after she was abducted in front of her house, Dr Adenike Salawu, wife of the Oyo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Leader, Mogaji Isiaka Ajibola Areokuta, regained freedom last night.

She was abducted last week Sunday by gunmen at the entrance of her house in Aromolaran area, Ibadan.

Speaking to the Nigerian Tribune by telephone this morning, Areokuta said “I thank God. My wife was released late last night.”

It was gathered that she was released a few hours ago after an undisclosed amount was paid as ransom to the abductors.

When asked to speak to the Nigerian Tribune, the woman just said “thank you, thank you” and handed the phone to her husband.
